Arqueotur
(In progress)
In cooperation with the Ibertur, the University of Barcelona, Kulturis has initiated a project aimed at including the archaeological heritage of Serbia in an international network of archaeological tourism – Arqueotur.
The main goal of this network is to enable and facilitate access to the archaeological heritage to both professional and general audience by improving the presentation, promotion and dynamization of archaeological heritage. Arqueotur represents a specialized guide, aimed at bringing archaeological heritage closer to all types of audience. It provides detailed information on all aspects of archeological heritage on a particular territory (archaeological sites, museums, visitors’ centers, events and historical celebrations). Arqueotur contains only those archaeological sites that are open to the public, and offers resources and services that can supply information related to those sites.
Since it was created eight years ago, the Arqueotur – International Archaeological Tourism Network, has been increasing the content and the number of visitors each year, providing information on the archaeological heritage of many countries (Europe, South America, Africa). With this project, Serbia will be the first country of South East Europe to join this unique cultural – tourist initiative.
The aim of the project Arqueotur Serbia is to enable incorporating the archaeological heritage from the entire territory of Serbia into this international network, contributing to its international promotion and encouraging the development of archaeological tourism.
