The Europe Challenge 2022
The Europe Challenge is the European Cultural Foundation annual programme that offers funding and support to libraries and communities to explore how we can meet, live together and work in the Europe of today.
Europe Challenge 2022 will include 32 libraries & communities
from 14 countries, being Kulturis and Novi Sad City Library the only “challenge team” selected from the Balkans region.
This programme supports libraries and their communities to design, test and deliver solutions to local challenges that can benefit all of Europe.
The Europe Challenge 2022 will be the first full-scale round of the programme, following a pilot year that ran from 2021 until May 2022, culminating with an event on Europe Day. The challenge teams will work offline and online throughout 2022 and into 2023 to design, test and showcase their prototypes.
Kulturis and Novi Sad City Library will tackle the following topic: the lack of civic participation mecanisms within the public cultural institutions. We tend to create a bridge between local community’s initiatives and public institutions by establishing models of civic participation laboratories.
